Dear Parents, The long weekend is approaching soon.  I have given the class h.w. but not a lot of homework so that all students can enjoy the weekend sunshine,  playing at the park and spending time with their family and friends.  I have assigned all students to do reading from Reading Street, pages 124 - 138.  Also,  I have asked the students to copy all the weekly sentences for three times in their h.w. exercise book. Have a fantastic weekend!!

February 25th - Homework

Dear Parents, We had our first  experience class today.  All of the students were able to make many healthy food using play dough.  They were able to name many healthy foods such as cucumber, corn, apple, pizza, soup and etc.  They had so much fun making food with their little fingers that they made plenty to decorate their eating healthy food packet.  I will post pictures of their wonderful work later and show you their packet when we meet later during our PTA meeting.     I have assigned homework today.  All the students have to read  their text book, Reading Street from pages 128 - 138.  They need to review their English conversation which is written on their communication notebook and write the recognition words from #10 - 18 (3X) on their homework exercise book.
Dear Parents, Welcome back to school after our Winter and Chinese new year break!  As today was my first day at Xinmin, I had the pleasure to meet many beautiful and bright faces of this class 104.   We are slowly getting back to school mode after the long winter break.  Today,  I had an opportunity to introduce myself and learn the names of all the students.  We were able to begin partial of the lesson.  We reviewed vocabulary words of the previous lesson and had started learning the vocabulary words of the new lesson from Unit 5. I have assigned homework for the day.  Most of the students were able to finish their work on time.  The homework given was to write the vocabulary words from no. 1-9 (three times) to read pages 124 - 126.  These pages are about learning the short e and sounding out the vocabulary words through home reading.  And for today,  I think that is about all!

Teachers at Work -- Hi!!

Dear Parents,   Winter classes are ending soon and we are going to have our Chinese New Year Break.  Many teachers are at school to prepare for the new semester before we begin our winter break.  I have started this blog to improve communication with all parents in this class.  All parents are welcome to comment here and I will make updates of our activities and class progress on this blog as much as possible.
